Paint raw emotions by using diversity to create uniqueness. What began as a passion project slowly grew into something far greater than I ever imagined.
In the intimate series HueMan Being, he asks how emotions can be painted - capturing doubt, intuition, and epiphany in raw, tactile form.
Born in Cameroon in 1999, Maxime Manga is a self-taught, multidisciplinary artist who was born, raised, and currently based in the country. His creative journey began when he stumbled upon the work of Magdiel Lopez. Deeply inspired, Maxime taught himself the craft and developed his own distinctive visual language—one defined by rich colors, bold storytelling, and symbolism.
His style did not go unnoticed; Maxime has since collaborated with major brands and artists such as Procreate, Adidas, The Academy, The New Yorker, Ms. Lauryn Hill, the NBA, and more.
Having conquered the digital realm, he is now exploring the analog world—a shift that stands out in an increasingly fast-paced environment. As he puts it: “I want to take the time to create with intentionality, conduct research, and present my findings through visual creations.”
